We’ve been living in very uncertain and scary times for the past few weeks as we continue to grapple with the growing COVID-19 pandemic. Here at Compeer, we’ve been hard at work continuing to provide the support and resources that our clients, volunteers, and friends need at this time. Unfortunately, we have had to postpone parts of our programs for the time being to ensure the safety of our clients, volunteers, and staff members as well as adhere to official state guidelines and recommended health guidelines. We have ceased holding monthly social activities, weekly support group sessions, and youth mentoring meetings; and we have been ramping up paper, digital and over-the-phone communication to continue our core programs as best we can.
We highly encourage our clients & volunteers to reach out via phone call, text messaging, or video call methods such as Face Time or Zoom! In addition, Compeer will be sending out a new weekly newsletter with additional resources & information, “Checking in with Compeer”! Look out for that every Friday, and be sure to subscribe to our mailing list if you have not already by clicking the button to the right!
